Above left: Carol and Jay Knight's CS-20 Mark 3 at the 2015 B&B Messabout. Right: a great video they put together of their boat. More picture here and a link the their construction log on the forum.
Unique features: Jay installed an electric pump to handle the water ballast as well as flat solar panels on the fore deck. He also added a third port to the cabin sides and designed his own companionway doors.
Hi guys, we were cruising the gulf coast 3-4 days and got into some weather today. The winds finally topped at 25 kts, seas built to a 4 foot steep chop and we had boat speed of 5 kts. 1 reef in both main and mizzen. I initially was hesitant to push the boat that hard, lot of water flying but it didn't feel like it was working as hard as we were! This leg was a 7 hour almost 30 NM slog. The boat did simply awesome! We popped into a marina along our route we used to go in and all our friends were absolutely complementary on your design!
