LAPWING (a wading bird)A daysailer that combines classic panache with attitude. The traditional lapstrake look of her hull, belies Lapwing’s thoroughly modern performance. The construction uses glued (epoxied) plywood strakes built over a jig. Unlike traditional lapstrake construction, there are no frames, so the interior of the hull is clean. She has 8 strakes per side, giving her a nice round-bilged hull form. |
